Several people we spoke to said we had to visit Sedona so we changed our plans slightly to see what all the fuss was about. We stumbled across a most incredible town in a valley between red striped rock formations. We viewed from several vantage points and stayed for lunch and didn’t leave until just after 5pm.
We had intended to visit a meteorite strike site but had by this time left it too late and instead set off straight for the Canyon. I guessed it would be close to sunset by the time we arrived but I hadn’t banked on the last few miles being so slow. But having arrived the views were spectacular for the last few minutes of remaining daylight and well worh the 250 mile drive.
We spend the next two days here so more news to follow.
